DIRECTIONS AND TRANSPORTATION

Coming from the city of São Paulo
After the second toll on the Castelo Branco highway turn to the right at the 42.5 km entering the “Estrada Capela Velha” (road) in the direction of Santana de Parnaíba.
Follow this Road also called Estrada Ecoturística do Suru for 2 km and at the end of the descent, turn to the left (Tucson’s Ranch), into the rural dirt road Rua Nhambu, following the “Vipassana” signs until you reach a bifurcation and turn left. Passing the first gate (red gate – please close after you pass) and continue along the road until you find a yellow gate, which is already the entrance to the Centre. It is 1.6 km of dirt road.
Coming from the city of Sorocaba and region
From the Castelo Branco highway in the direction of São Paulo, enter right at Exit 44 indicating “Bairro Santa Rita”. Make a roundabout turning to the left and passing under the highway viaduct. Take the first left and then the first right and continue in the Av. Vitor Chaves de Oliveira (parallel to the Castelo Branco highway) until the end when you encounter the “Estrada Capela Velha” road. Then turn to the left in the direction of the city of Santana de Parnaíba.
Continue on this road called “Estrada Ecoturística do Suru” for 2 km and follow the directions above.
Coming from the city of Campinas
Leaving Campinas take the Santos Dumont highway follow until the city of Salto and then to the city of Itu – Dep. Archimedes Lamoglia highway and then take the Castelo Branco highway in the direction of São Paulo and follow the instructions above “Coming from the city of Sorocaba and region”.
From São Paulo City
Take a bus at Bus Terminal Barra Funda (Palmeiras Barra Funda Metro Station) towards Araçariguama, São Roque or any city towards Santana de Parnaíba, which will go using the Castelo Branco highway. The bus to Araçariguama goes by the Cometa company (website: www.viacaocometa.com.br). The trip takes about 1 hour. Buses leave the terminal every hour, starting at 6:20 a.m. and then 7:00, 8:00 and so on (on Saturdays the first bus leaves at 7:00 a.m. and on Sundays and holydays at 7:30). Ask the driver to stop after the second toll of the Castelo Branco highway at the 42.5 km at the entrance of “Estrada Capela Velha” (Road) to Santana de Parnaíba.
Then you can walk or take another bus. If you prefer walking, follow the Estrada Ecoturística do Suru road for 2 km and at the end of the descent, you will see a lake (left).
At the lake (Tucson’s Ranch sign) go left towards the rural dirt road Nhambu Street and keep walking for about 1.6 km until you reach the Center, following the “Vipassana” signs. When you reach a bifurcation, continue left. Passing the first gate (red gate – please close after you pass) and continue along the road until you find a yellow gate, which is already the entrance to the Centre.
If you prefer going by bus, take the bus number 800 – Jardim Sao Luis – Capela do Suru via Cururuquara, and get off near the lake to Tucsons Ranch into the Nhambu street (dirt road) and walk for about 1.6 km until you reach the Center, as described above.

At the Metro Station Palmeiras Barra Funda take the train towards Itapevi (line 8 – Diamante) and get off at the Barueri station. Near the Station, catch the bus 418DV1 – Pirapora / Barueri (via Parque Paiol). Get off at the bus station in downtown Santana de Parnaíba. It takes about 40 minutes and there are buses about every one hour.
The lines 082, 418, 805 and 246 – that pass near Barueri train station and belong to the same company – also take you to the bus station in Santana de Parnaíba. You only need to confirm with the driver that the bus is to Pirapora do Bom Jesus.
For more information, access the EMTU website: www.emtu.sp.gov.br. It is advisable to get in contact by phone with the company Viação Osasco (0800 014 1366) to confirm departure times, as there are outdated information on the site sometimes.
At the bus station of Santana de Parnaíba city, take a taxi to the Center (12 km) or the bus number 800 – Jardim Sao Luis – Capela do Suru via Cururuquara and ask the driver to get off at Rancho Tucsons (at the lake).
At the lake (Tucson’s Ranch sign) walk along the dirt road Nhambu Street and keep walking for about 1.6 km until you reach the Center as described above.
Tip: Before you leave home, it is recommended to call the bus company Viação Osasco and ask the departure times of the bus number 800 leaving from Santana de Parnaíba. This will allow you to align the schedules of bus arrival in Santana de Parnaíba and departure towards Estrada Ecoturistica do Suru (to the Center).
At the Butantã Metro Station (Via Four – Yellow Line), take bus 840 to Vila Yara, get off in front of the Shopping União in Osasco. From there are two options, bus number 082 towards Pirapora do Bom Jesus or bus number 246 Jardim São Luis. The trip takes about 1:30 hours (due to unforeseen circumstances there may be delays) to the downtown Santana de Parnaíba bus Station. To check the bus schedule: www.emtu.sp.gov.br.
As from the Santana de Parnaíba bus station follow the instructions of the 2nd option.
There are several busses from the EMTU company leaving from some neighbourhoods in São Paulo (Lapa, Pinheiros, Paraiso, Morro Doce) to the Santana de Parnaíba bus station, such as numbers 085, 261, 309, 352, 564, 467, 386 and 378PR1 – with different schedules and routes. Coming from São Paulo
From Guarulhos International Airport to Metro Terminal Barra Funda
Catch the Airport Bus Service to the “Metro Station Barra Funda”. The journey takes approximately 1:20 hour.

From Congonhas Airport to Metro Terminal Barra Funda
Since there is no buses available buses from Congonhas Airport to the Metro Terminal Barra Funda (bus station), you can take a taxi. However, it is cheaper to take a taxi to São Judas Metro Station and from there, take the subway to Tucuruvi and get off at the Sé Station. Then take the subway (Line 3 – Red) to Palmeiras – Barra Funda and walk to the bus or train station.
From there, follow the directions above “By Bus” under the 1st and 2nd options.

For those coming from Campinas
From International Viracopos Airport to Bus Terminal of Tietê
Near the domestic arrivals area catch a shuttle to the Bus Terminal of Tietê with the company “VB Transportes”. They leave every hour (Monday to Thursday, from 7:20 a.m. to 8:50 p.m., and from Friday to Sunday from 7:20 a.m. until 9:20 p.m.).
From Bus Terminal of Tietê go to Tietê Metro Station (Line 2 – Blue), direction Jabaquara. Get off at the Sé Station and take the metro (Line 3 – Red) to Palmeiras – Barra Funda direction.
From the station Palmeiras – Barra Funda follow the directions “By Bus”, 1st and 2nd options above.
